About us

The heart and soul of The Foveran is our restaurant. Three times winner of the Orkney Food Festival ‘Best Dinner’ Award, the Foveran offers a warm welcome, relaxed dining and eight comfortable en-suite rooms.

Our ethos is one of continuous improvement, and the eight en-suite rooms have recently been renovated, offering simple style and comfort – a place to unwind and take your time.

The restaurant looks out over the landscape of Scapa Flow to the south. The homely decor, enhanced by local art and craft pieces, reflects the family’s enthusiasm for and pride in all things Orcadian. A beautiful tapestry by Paul and Hamish’s cousin Leila Thomson adorns the wall, while jewellery made in Orkney by her sister Sheila Fleet is a favourite amongst our team.

Visitors who spend time at the Foveran leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. Many of our guests make repeat visits, which tells you something!

We want you to enjoy your stay, so if you have any specific requests or dietary requirements, do please let us know.
